Those who wish to experiment with antennas and propagation (and who
doesn't), may care to download W6ELprop, to quote their web site:

"W6ELProp predicts ionospheric (sky-wave) propagation between any two
locations on the earth on frequencies between 3 and 30 MHz. There is no
charge for W6ELProp when used for non-commercial purposes."

I would suggest tightening the parameters under "options, frequencies and
constants" to -13dB and set the minimum radiation angle (under "options,
prediction parameters") to about 27 degrees - maybe less if your antenna is
a beam up high.
