1 - K2 As you are building, the manual will suggest that you open up a =
bag
for the KNB2, K160RX, etc., and get out a circuit board connector to
install. That will avoid disassembly work needed after you have the K2
finished to add the mods. You'll have the required sockets all in place =
on
the K2 boards for them. "Desoldering" to install the mods is limited to
removing a couple of jumpers or other small parts that are placed for =
easy
removal anyway. But do the K2 end-to-end by the book, check it out, and
confirm that it works as described BEFORE you plug in another module.
2 - The add-ons that plug into the K2 in any order you please: KSB2, =
KNB2,
KAF2 and K160RX.
3 - KPA100
4 - KAT100
Some ops tried building one of the modules like the KSB2 as a "warm up". =
For
most, that's not a good idea. First, there is NO way to tell if the =
module
was built right and is working until the K2 is built and working. =
Secondly,
some of the modules are more densely packed than the basic K2 boards and =
the
instructions in the K2 manual are somewhat more detailed. So it's easier =
to
start on the K2 and warm up there before tackling the option kits.=20

-----Original Message-----
I just ordered a K2 with KSB2, KNB2, KAF2, K160RX, KPA100, & KAT100. =
What
is your recommended build order? Also, what changes to the basic K2 =
boards
can be done during construction to support the add-ons so that future =
board
modifications & desoldering can be minimized?
Thanks,
Bob Whitaker
