[Elecraft] K2DSP and KAF2

I'm pleased Elecraft has come out with a DSP filter.  I nearly made a grave
mistake and bought the SGC offering for DSP.  I'm presently waiting for my
KDSP2 to arrive.

I have previously built the KAF2 and it seems to me that it would be a shame
not to be able to use this module on another rig such as a K1.

I realize it was not intended for use with the K1 but I'm sure it would make
a nice addition instead of having it lying around in the shack or selling it
for pennies.

Perhaps the clock feature would not function but the audio filter should.
Am I alone here or has anyone else thought about the same thing?
