The PLL drift mod and the BFO drift mod, as well as all previous
Elecraft-approved mods that make the K2 a better performer are no longer
modifications but are built into all new K2s beginning with #3000, as I
recall.

The PLL drift mod had an astonishing improvement in my K2 (#2622). 
Before the mod it drifted about 170 Hz just on a 30-minute warmup.  After
the mod it drifts only a few Hz from 70F to 140F.

The BFO drift mod (simply replacing an inductor with a prewound toroid)
totally eliminated a major problem I had because the BFO drift caused my
CW filters to no longer be centered (as set up by Spectrogram) at my
sidetone pitch when the rig's temperature changed.
