[Elecraft] K1 Front panel board "Floats"

Maybe I'm a day late here, but I thought I remembered something about a pad
also, so I went back and checked my manual and notes too. There IS a pad
installed, but it's a 1/2" x 1/2" square neoprene spacer placed between the
PC Board and the LCD panel. I did see that it was noted that everything
might not line up right until the panel is attached to the RF board. If
things are still not lined up properly - switches, led's etc. - then "you
may not have the Front Panel fully plugged into the RF board." as it says
in the book.
The only other thing that I can think of that might allow the PC board to
remain "loose" in the front panel assembly might be that the screw that
secures the front panel to the standoff on the pc board (just below the
tuning pot - R1) is loose or missing, and/or maybe a missed washer on R1.
Other than that, I can't imagine what it might be.
