[Elecraft] SSB woes

Hi and thanks for all the responses from my last question.

Things were good with the K2 with 160 mod and NB mod. Then I did the SSB...

I ve at all the parts and solder joints checked the toriods and rfc with
meter on low ohms. Overall recieve volume has gone down - not gone. I get no
indication of power out when I try transmit on ssb or cw now for that
matter. CW was good until the put the ssb in. I set the mike up for Kenwood
MC-60 jumpered all pins soldered pin 5 to 5v (func and pin 6 unconnected.)

I've founded the instruction carefully and double checked most. I started
checking ref voltages at U1. I got some odd readings. Pin 12 was
reading5.85v instead of zero, but all of a sudden it is zero. Pin 6 when
from 5.67v on rv to zero on tx. Pin 21 was reading 0.14on rv. I stopped
there because I'm getting to tired. I set the mode to cw, changed power to
5w and push tune. It showed 0.5w ???

Anyway enough rambling, I could use some advice on how to proceed.
