[Elecraft] front pannel hook up wires for Z1

Hi group
I am reading page thirty on the instalation of the hookup wires (4) 
that will hook to Z1, this is all on the front pannel. it says to 
"remove the insulation" surly that does not mean to remove all of 
the insulation right? just from enough of the ends to allow 
soldering. I ain't no electronics expert so I thought I would ask.
