[Elecraft] RE: K1 and K2

Thanks to those who replied to my question RE: K1 VS K2.  I thought it might
be of interest to the group the responses I received.

There were 8 respondents to my query. Of these 8 people, there were 5 votes
for the K2 clearly over the K1, 1 vote for the K1 over the K2 and 2 votes
stating the CLEAR need for both.  It was apparent that the decision is one
which many other have gone through before as several people seemed to be
looking at the same issues I am-- functionality and practicality. Very
interestingly one ham stated he used the K1 only in the car for monitoring
40m and for the occasional QSO. Furthermore, the ham who chose the K1 over
the K2 is a camper who valued size/weight over the added function of the K2.

Well with all the comments and input I have received, I have made my
decision.  I'm going to get a little brother for my K2 and build a K1! Let
the odyssey begin a new!
