After a couple of frustrating weeks checking voltage and parts from my A to
B mod and KPA100 install, today I discovered that I did exactly what the
KPA100 manual says not to do. I had soldered the jumper from Q5 to the
resistor pack and not to the IC.  DUH!  It works just fine now.  I also
installed my NB today.  Maybe Murphy (or poor eyesight) will abandon me for
a while and I will be able to work CW again!
