[Elecraft] K2 power cord

A question in addition to my other post:

What is the recommended configuration for a power cord to be used with
the K2/100?  I am going to be travelling with the radio internationally
over an extended period of time, so convenience is a factor.  What gauge
wire/type of fuses (if necessary??) should I use in the power cord?  What 
is the maximum recommended length for a cord given particular specs?  Am
going to make a radio shack run later in the week to buy the parts.  Thanks!
