[Elecraft] Stiff tuning question

Mine grew VERY stiff after a few months of use. I discovered that a few
filaments from the felt washer had gotten tangled in the bearing and
were jamming it. I was able to pull them out one-by-one using tweezers
to hold tension while I turned the knob. 

Then I put a little super glue around the inner hole on my felt washer
to ensure that more fibres did not come loose and get entangled on the
C-ring and shaft bearing. I haven't had any further trouble with it over
the subsequent 2+ years.

I seem to recall postings some time back regarding stiffness in the K2's
tuning encoder, but don't recall any specific cause or cure.  Mine has 
recently become quite stiff for no apparent reason.  It seems to be
caused by something internal as removing knob, felt, etc. has no impact.

Has anyone else experienced this condition or have a cure?
