I second George's remarks. I normally used to run about 6 dB of clipping
with the TR-7 and it worked well. I run about the same with the K2, but I am
wary of any long-winded QSOs with it. At the 100W level, my impression is
that the K2 doesn't like anything other than a light duty cycle. Best to
have some arrangement for external cooling if indulging in contests, etc, or
back off to the 50 - 75W level. Similar considerations probably apply to the
bare K2 when run with processing.
