Fran and all,

You should have no problem putting the resistor into the connector other
than it is a tight physical fit.  In fact, I have several mics that I use
with my K2 and I too have my header wired straight across and place any
resistor required by a particular mic into the connector - or if that is not
feasable, I build a small patch cable to adapt the microphone to the way my
K2 likes the connector pins.
