The IARU has an agreement that NO contests large or small will be
recomended on the WARC. That is a "recomendation" that No competition
will take place on the WARC bands. The IARU is 113 National
organizations that have made this RECOMENDATON. Not a gentlemens
agreement or rule but a joint Recomendation. It took much dicussioin to
agree that DXCC would be awarded using any WARC band but ONE station in
a pileup does not constitute a CONTEST or competition. The Thusrday nite
FOX was once considered as a medium but ruled out by this ageeement and
or recomendation. Keep the recomendation as a valid rule that WE as
concerned Amateur Radio Operators should be aware of and comply with the
agreed recomendations as set forth by the IARU.
