[Elecraft] summary: 270E 3 watts metal film resistor?

Two days ago I asked the list for possible availability of an
270E 3 watts metal film resistor as it's needed to tame a KPA100
under certain configurations.
I did this after asking Elecraft whether they were willing to add
this to their spares list, and was directed to the list.

I received several offers (thanks!).

I also received several me-too messages from people looking
for the same thing, and messages from people who made a 
temporary solutions with multiple resistors in series/parallel.
(I'm not really sure whether this is desirable as it increase
the chance that the hot point picks up or radiates stuff).

Based on all that, I've re-contacted Elecraft, explained that
my problem may not be as individual as one hoped and I now hope
they are willing to re-consider the answer they provided earlier.

I realize that it's not desirable to add all kinds of spares
as the logistics and costs are probably a lot more than the
cost of the components themselves.
OTOH, if this is neccessary to tame one of the kits, then I hope
they will be willing to help out.
