[Elecraft] Help: Problem with LCD Display on k2

Almost guaranteed - A poorly-soldered connection to one of the LCD display 
pins. They can be a bit 'touchy' to solder since they don't stick 
completely through the PC board. Sometimes, if you don't heat the entire 
plated-thru hole, the solder will remain only on top of the pad, and not be 
drawn into the hole by capillary action.

I'd suggest you re-flow any questionable joints from the LCD. If necessary, 
add just a tiny bit more solder to each connection and then allow the tip 
of the iron to dwell a bit longer on the joint, to give the solder a chance 
to completely melt and flow into the hole.
