Yes, all the comments that it DOES do "something" when you tap A=B are
right. It still puts the "other" VFO on the same frequency.
Still, a "beep" when tapping A=B to remind the op that SPLIT is OFF
would be nice. If one is just bringing the other VFO onto frequency but
wasn't in SPLIT, it'd "beep". If SPLIT is ON, it wouldn't "beep".
Or do it the other way 'round if most ops do NOT use split.
Just something to warn the op that something is "different" when SPLIT
is either OFF or ON when using the A=B function.
I think that most of us get used to what we hear as much as what we see.
Perhaps more so since it's easy to "overlook" things like blinking
annunciators. We "perk up" and pay attention when we hear something that
is suddenly "different" from what we expect.
