Dan,
First go to the secondary menu by pressing MENU, then DISPLAY. scroll to 
FPLY, hold MENU, and select which memories you want use for fast play.

Then press DISPLAY again to return to the primary menu, scroll to PF1 or PF2, 
and assign FPon. Exit the menu system, then hold the appropriate PF button to 
toggle fastplay.
