The rev D manual (>3000 K2s) says the "d" is shown when the
CPU stores the calibration data from CAL PLL, so it's not
a problem. I guess they put that in so you wouldn't think
nothing was happening while waiting for several minutes!

I did not get an answer yet about whether CAL PLL should
be done on 7100.10, or if it is now anywhere from 7000-7100.
I know I calibrated mine (31xx serial) on 7000 and I don't
experience the glitches.
