[Elecraft] filter settings

John,
I prefer to set my CW filters at 1000 Hz - FL1, 700 Hz - FL2, 400 Hz, FL3,
and 200 Hz FL4.
My SSB Filters are OP1 transmit optimized at FL1, OP1 optimized for receive
at FL2, FL3 is the variable filter at 1800 Hz and FL4 is at 1600 Hz.

My normal operation is with the 700 Hz filter for CW and my FL2 for SSB.
I have the data (RTTY) filters also active which I use for PSK31. Recently
I have been experimenting with OP1 for FL1 while the others are set at 400
Hz bandwidth with various BFO settings so I can scan the band with the wide
OP1 filter and zoom in on any signal of interest with the narrower bandwidth
filters. Be aware that you should be using split operation with the
transmit VFO fixed if you want to use pseudo passband tuning in a similar
manner with PSK31.
