[Elecraft] K2 as IF Rig: Options Help Please

Hi Gang,

I need to determine the best way to go in setting up my new K2 for use as 
an IF rig for 50-1296MHz using DEMI transverters.

Is anyone using the trasverter board option, and if so, where are you 
getting the PTT or transmit ground signal to switch the transverter to xmit?

Or is it easier just to turn off the KAT2 (which I'll begin building 
tonight) and use a KAT2 port for TX and the 160M ant connector for RX? 
DEMI xvtrs will work fine with low level IF drive OR at a few watts.

Yes, I have seen the tech notes on the site, but why isn't there info on 
the xvtr board?
