Could the 100k resistor you have left over be R19?  This is a resistor =
added to recent K1s that is to be installed across the VFO potentiometer =
terminals (wiper to hot-side) in order to linearize the VFO?

Hi Mike,
thanks for your  interest in this subject.
I doublechecked all R and C etc while building...
I also checked R19 as you mentioned,but it is ok in place.
So I think these two resistors are gifts from ELECRAFT,
maybe part of the MOJO :-)
