As you've heard, lately computer monitors do not accept the composite =
video that a VCR provides.
Depending on how committed you are to do this, there are two ways... =
Certainly you could install a video card dedicated to video =
capture/editing but they are usually big bucks. Probably the easiest & =
'cheapest' way would be to have a video card in your computer that =
offers VIVO (Video in/Video out).=20
Some higher-end consumer video cards provide this for more 'casual' use. =
Fortunately the two mainstream vendors (ATI & Nvidia) have announced =
some new high end models and the "old" high end ones are dropping in =
price.
I'd recommend a Gainward Nvidia Geforce4 (about $225). Go here to check =
