Like Mark said, VCR=composite, monitor=RGB. However, some newer, high-end
VCRs have RGB output. I don't think I've ever seen a computer monitor with
composite inputs, but sometimes high-end TV monitors have RGB in. Of
course, these are the monitors that cost ten times what an entire TV costs.
If you're setting up your entertainment center and need to have the computer
and TV through the same monitor then the videophile sort of TV monitor is
probably the way to go. If you want to occasionally watch a video in the
shack, then a video capture card is going to be a lot cheaper, but still
more than I'd be willing to pay to watch TV, in fact, more than a new TV.
