[Elecraft] Elecraft, a one of a kind company

My K1 arrived in December of 2000.  I was thrilled and 
couldn't wait to get it on the air.  During assembly I 
noticed a very small defect on the edge of one of the 
side panels.  There was no way I was going to delay my 
gradification while waiting for a replacement.  So I 
decided to just let it go, as it was, indeed, a very small 
thing.

Well, over time I became more and more aware of the 
distracting defect that defaced my little baby.  It became 
like a thorn in my side.  Finally I had had enough and 
sent a note to Elecraft asking for the cost of a 
replacement panel.  Little did I know with whom I was 
dealing!

Within a short period of time there arrived in my mail box 
not just the side panel I was prepared to buy, but a pair 
of panels at NO cost.  Now I ask, what other company 
would, after over two years, replace a part with a small 
cosmetic defect at no cost?  None that I have ever 
encounterd.

I hope that Scott King (who sent me the panels) and all 
the guys and gals at Elecraft know what a great 
company they are a part of.
