[Elecraft] K1-4 #1484 is alive !

Hi QRPers out there !

Since sunday evening my K1-4 serial no. 1484 is alive and kicking......

It was really fun to build the radio. I have logged all the building times
and the total sum of construction times was 22 hours and 30 minutes (spread
over 2 weeks time).

I have still not made any QSO with the K1 yet, but I will try it very soon. 

RX works great so far, I love especially the selectable narrow filter
bandwiths. (I think this will be very useful next weekend when the ARRL contest
will be "onair"). The four band module filter bandwiths seem to be sufficient
for evening hours operation on 40 m here in Europe, which is sometimes a
problem because of frontend overload due to extremly strong BC signals from the 41m
and 49m shortwave broadcast bands overhere...

I hope to be able to work some US stations with the K1 next weekend here
from Europe.
