[Elecraft] Scan doesn't jump

Dear Fellow Elecrafters,

I have a K2 that doesn't "jump" a half KHz when I press scan resume on 
PF1.  Instead, it just "sits" where it is & locks up the scan.  In 
addition, when it stops on a station, it doesn't resume automatically after 
10-15 seconds.  It will stay on the station until I move the VFO.

Gary told me that adjusting the S meter might have some effect on this.  It 
is supposed to be adjusted in the CAL FIL sub menu Hi or Lo for one "S" bar 
below the left most bar & one "S" bar below the top most bar.  I've played 
with it up and down from those recommendations, but no joy.

Can anyone advise me on this?
