Actually, I'm going to try that when I go back down in a month or so.  
Last time all I had was my old FT-757GXII and no antenna tuner.  Had to 
stick with resonant antennas.  That's why I'm so anxious about getting 
my KAT2 to work.

I'm not sure how it will work though.  The house is poured concrete 
with a matrix of rebar in all the walls.  The razor wire is welded to 
rebar left protruding from the tops of the walls for that very purpose. 
  All that rebar and razor wire makes a great ground plane for my PAC-12 
though.

Oops, forgot!  The roof tiles are supported on beams made out of rebar. 
  And the small interior garden is covered overhead with woven rebar to 
try and keep out anyone that should get past the razor wire.  Of 
course, all that rebar is welded to the stuff sticking out of the tops 
of the walls.  You could say I live in a rebar cage!  <lol>

In case it's not obvious, lumber is EXTREMELY expensive in YS.
