I use the black foam that Tom is talking about, but in a different
way...I solder all of the crystals in place, then I place the foam on the
table, turn the board over, and rest the top of the crystals on the
foam...Working from the bottom of the board, I insert the wire leads I
saved into the grounding holes next to the crystals and push the leads
down into the foam until they bottom out against the table...Then I
solder them in place...Next, I turn the board back over, remove the foam,
and clip the ground leads off at the proper height, about half the height
of the crystal...Now I push them over against the side of the crystal
with a small screw driver until they rest flat against the crystal, and
then solder them to the crystal...

Oops, my bad...This is the way I build K2's...Haven't built a KX1 yet,
but it's coming!...<G>
