By "nothing" do you mean there was no display, or relay action, or LED
lights?

One thing that will pop D19, which is across the final PA transistor, is
excessive RF voltage, such as would occur if you were transmitting without
an appropriate antenna attached.  Do this too long and you'll loose the
final PA transistor too.

I'd check to make sure that no key was closed, and that a good dummy load is
connected, then see how the unit performs on transmit.  Then I'd try the
antenna.
