[Elecraft] K2 SSB receive mods

I am going to start building my K2 this weekend and want to know what SSB recieve mods are available. I currently have the basic kit and KSB2 with the 2.5kHz TX mod. I am also looking for more detailed theory on how the receivers variable bandwidth crystal filter is works.
