I agree 100% on this! I used a washer cut from a piece of thick leather
and dyed black. The leather was around 1/8" or so thick. I couldn't
find any thick felt and my old "campaign hat" is still wearable
although the brim felt would be just about the right thickness!

I dislike the extremely light resistance to motion of the K1 VFO pot. I
| added a couple of layers of home-cut felt washers between the back of the
| VFO knob and the panel. That really helps to keep the knob from moving when
| I let go of it. I used thin felt cloth and added/removed layers until I got
| a feel that was just right. I would think that such would be helpful, even
| had I used the 80 kHz option.
