  last night , while dreaming at dinner, i was thinking that i would buy a 
nice vga extension cable; tear the mouldings off the ends and use the 
already wired connector as a chassis connector  !!!!!  , cutting the cables 
a foot from the ends and then using the existing conductors to where ever 
they need to go !!!

then i remembered that my major thought was for fixed audio in/out; mic & 
line level; and some other low level stuff and i think i might be asking 
for trouble next to the aux bus etc....
