[Elecraft] WRONG SERIAL CABLE - If you've done this, please reply

Hi Folks:

Witht the able assistance if Gary Surrency, I am preparing a document 
intended for the benefit of those who have managed to connect the wrong 
serial cable to their KIO2 / KPA100 / or KAT100 and have blown various 
devices as a result of the error.

The document will list which components are subject to failure due to this 
error and it will show their location on the various PC boards.

To this end, I'd like to hear ONLY from ANYONE who has made the WRONG 
SERIAL CABLE error and who has (personally) performed the repair to their 
rig. Or from those who have repaired such a device.

What I want to find out is whether I'm missing any components which YOU had 
to replace and I don't already have listed in my document.

When I hear from you, and IF your're willing to help us out, I'll send a 
copy of the current document and give you a chance to look it over and to 
make any corrections or additional to the content. Once that is 
accomplished, I'll make and further changes and post the completed document 
to the reflector.

If you have NOT had to repair your K2 or associated devices due to using 
the wrong serial cable, please do NOT contact me for an early-release copy 
of the document. It'll be available soon enough.

I'll hold the 'door' open until Wednesday, Dec 24th, at which time I'll 
take whatever responses I've received and incorporate their info into the 
final document.
