[Elecraft] ****KX1 Lithium Batteries****

Hi Elecraft gang,

What is the standard battery voltage being used for the AA Lithium batteries in the KX1?  Do lithiums last a long time no matter the voltage rating?? Some of my finds below are used as CMOS/underwater/security batteries and I think that one of them states to have a slow current drop-off.


On this note I have found two links that would benefit the user.  If you would like to do some tests on more expensive batteries. 1st test use these 3.6V AA packaged lithiums just like you use the 1.5V lithiums. See how long they last. See Link(s)::

2nd test: instead of using one 1.5V or 3.6V AA lithium battery; put two 3.6V (half size; same diameter as AA) in place of one 1.5V/3.6V AA battery. See Link(s)::
