Aron,

I am probably about the same skill level as you and the entire project with
the ATU, 30m mod and paddles took about sixteen hours. I use a magnifier,
temp controlled soldering station and check and recheck as I go. My secret
weapon is that I use a Hakko deslodering gun to strip the toroids.

Follow the instructions carefully about component clearances and you'll have
a great time and a great rig. I enjoyed the entire experience.
