Don't worry about it, Steve, the bare wires turn out to be very short 
and do not touch anything.  I did in fact use a piece of green covered 
wire for the 'B' connection.  Although this turned out to be 
unnecessary, it does look quite neat.

Contrary to what it says in the manual, I found that connecting the bare 
wires first worked out best.  With the PCB located in the right 
position, the two insulated wires can be then be soldered in finally.
