I found it easier (second time around) to install the uninsulated (1") wires 
before installing the 2 longer insulated wires.  The B wire barely stretched 
through the other side of hole B on the main board and I'd recommend cutting 
it to 1.25".  The first go around, I installed the two insulated wires first 
and snugged them to the boards before soldering.  Big mistake. I probably 
removed a touch too much insulation which caused them to be too short as 
installed and I could not position the board properly or seat the five 
uninsulated wires.  My bad, but still, I recommend cutting B a little longer 
than the others and it's a lot easier to seat the spider-like array of 
un-insulted #@$ wires (Elecraft manual wire humor.  You have to have been 
there..) before installing the two insulated wires. YMMV...Once positioned, 
the unisulated wires are stiff enough to retain clearance from the rest of 
the radio.
