Yes, my own extensive use of the EDZ to win Field Day contests in our area
shows No measurable loss as extensive as the B&W folded broad band antenna.
We use ladder line all the way to the rig from 80m and 75m 5/8 wave wire
doublet, and tune them with Dentron Super or Junior tuners with equally good
results.  Usually are told we are the strongest SSB station on 20m (at 5
watts).

One of the ham myths is that there is excessive loss in tuners and baluns.
If applied appropriately, or using cable chokes;  there is little loss,
perhaps not measurable by S meter or SWR meter
No reason to give up even 2 dB to a commercial antenna that is a compromise
at best and a poor design for the application.
