[Elecraft] DL1 Power Calculator Spreadsheet

Hi:

I wanted to check the accuracy of my old wattmeter and also check the power
output of my new KX1 (SN 198). I have the DL1 and there is a formula for
calculating the power output by reading the voltage across the test circuit
(I think the old Heath Cantenna had a feature like this too?). Anyway, I
thought, "why not do a spreadsheet and use 0.5 Volt steps and while I am at
it calculate the voltage for 0.5 watt steps too." So I built a spread sheet
that calculates the power for 0.5 volt steps from 0-25 volts and also
calculates the expected voltage for 0-25 watts in 0.5 watt steps. It also
has the curves plotted volts vs watts and watts vs volts. You can also plug
a voltage reading into the "calc. cell" and it will give the corresponding
power level.

Also, the DL1 makes the K2 transmitter tuning a lot easier. Just use your
voltmeter and tune for peak.

I can not send it here to the reflector as an attachment but if you're
interested I could e-mail you a copy off the reflector. If I get enough
interest (read that too many requests 8-) I'll find a place to post it for
down load.
