[Elecraft] Question re: callsign prefixes

I ran across a few guys who were pumping out their calls every 2 or 3
seconds without pause...like some sort of beacon. They didn't appear to be
trying to break a pileup, so I assume they were using full breakin and
listening for calls through the outgoing dits and dahs...or was he just
reserving his place on the band while he went for a bathroom break? 8-)
My KX1 is the first transceiver I've owned that has full QSK and I'm really
impressed with how well it works.
