[Elecraft] KX1 SWL to K2 es CQ

I now have a K1, K2 and KX1. They are all great and different enough so that each deserves the loyalty they seem to inspire.

Here's my suggestion/question. The Shortwave Receive capability on the KX1 is a real plus and greatly enhances the usefulness of the radio. Could the next firmware upgrade for the K2 support this capability as well? Is the filter architecture able to be switched like the KX1?

How much fun is the KX1? It's pretty cold in NYC already and there aren't as many trails here that are easy to get to. I carry the KX1 to work with me. We're lucky enough to have club station NY2TV here at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York. The combination of the KX1 (I disconnect the big Kenwood rig) and the log periodic antenna have made lunch time more fun than I could have imagined. Look for me on 40, 30 or 20 for 30 minutes to an hour between 1800Z and 2000Z most weekdays. I'm a slow speed op, so I'll be easy to find.
