[Elecraft] Carrier breakthru using SSB filter

Ian,
I also have the feeling that there is some leakage here. A related
effect is that which TF3MA did a mod for: a filter on the 153 kHz AGC
frequency to make it more narrowbanded. Go to the General mods of
www.qsl.net/la3za/K2/mod.html and you will find it. It certainly helped
decrease my S-meter setting when using the OP1 filter.
If you have a longwave receiver and set it to 153 kHz and put its bar
antenna outside the K2, to the right of the front panel (near the AGC
circuit) you will hear the activity on the 153 kHz signal. If you set it
to an AM station you hear the audio, but I am hearing a constant beat
note there also, which could be the BFO leaking into the system and
beating with the AM station's carrier. It has not been something that
has concerned me very much, but I was reminded of it when you brought
this issue up. It would be very interesting to know if others are
hearing it also.
