Ian,

Sounds to me like your BFO is aligned within the passband of the OP1 filter
allowing carrier and opposite sideband energy to pass through the filter.

It is very likely that the BFOs associated with your SSB filters have not
yet been aligned to the OP1 filter passband.  If you have the stock K2 SSB
filter, set the BFO so that the passband is centered between 300 Hz and 2300
Hz.

deals with CAL PLL and filter/BFO alignment.
