Yes, conditions were down from last year, but they at least were better
than during the CQWW-SSB last month. In that one I gave up on QRP
after only working 2 JA stations in 30 minutes of trying.
I only worked the contest for 9 hours but did get a few new QRP
countries and made my first QRP long-path contacts to EU on 20m. I
didn't hear as many SA stations as I have in previous contests.
It was a bit frustrating to call a S9+ station with no audible QRM and
have him return with another CQ. But then, not everyone has the ears
of a K2.
