[Elecraft] Power Panel 8 ?

I bought a Power Panel 8 at Visalia earlier this year. I can't give a
technical comparison to the RigRunner (since I haven't played with
one), but like you, I can compare prices. The PP8 was much cheaper. The
unit has been doing its job quite nicely since I assembled it last
March. One thing I like about it it that it uses the Mini fuses instead
of the "standard" sized ones. The mini fuses are smaller, making the
unit fairly small. I recently bought a Pontiac Montana mini-van, and
was pleasantly surprised to find that the new van uses only the mini
fuses, meaning I only need to keep one type around.

I did have occasion to blow one of the fuses when I accidentally
plugged my K2 into an outlet with a 2 amp fuse. Next time I transmitted
at 15 watts the fuse blew. A red LED then illuminated next to the blown
fuse, telling me which one to replace. That's a feature I like!

So, for me at least, the bottom line is the PP8 does its job quite
nicely and saved me money. The folks at HamStop are pretty nice also...
