do differently and how to develop the "Super K2."

Well, y'see, Wayne and Eric opened the door and rasied the bar when they
introduced the KPA100 - which took the K2 out of the hands of QRP ONLY guys
and opened up a whole new customer base.
And that customer base cares NOT if a radio has the lowest current draw of
any radio out there. He wants performance - and bells and whistles. Those
who don't want all that are free to build the K2 and enjoy it. The larger
radio would be for another part of the market that hitherto (did I really
use hitherto in a sentence?) has had very little available to it in the way
of kits.

I have a fully featured K1 and am building the K2/100 - and I would build
and buy a larger, more fully featured radio from Elecraft when and if it
becomes available.
For Wayne and Eric to ignore suggestions of potential future customers would
be a less-than-ideal business decision. I'm sure that the KPA-100 was
driven by folks WANTING a 100 watt option.
And the best thing to keep a business going is: repeat business.
Just my 2-1/2 cents. 73 de Rick, WQ8Q
