>I am sure Wayne and Eric are very astute to the facts of what >they =
would do differently and how to develop the "Super K2."

No doubt true, Lee, but this being the U.S. of A. I'm not the least bit =
shy about adding my 2 cents. Once again...I have no problem with the =
K2..in fact I LOVE my K2. But my K2 is.....well...FINISHED!! As is my =
KPA100. Some of us might want to build another Elecraft project at some =
point. Me and my buddy were wondering what it would be like to have a =
bigger rig with a display we could read without glasses and more knobs =
and buttons so you could do more stuff on the fly. That doesn't mean it =
would REPLACE a K2. Nobody's gettin' MY K2 till I'm cold and in the =
ground! But....BEFORE I'm cold and in the ground ....I'd LOVE to repeat =
the incredible experience of completing my K2/100.=20
Since there had been some talk of a bright orange K3 complete with =
yellow smiley face knobs and NO display
(all pertinent info, including frequency, sent to the user in Morse) my =
friend and I thought maybe it would be a good idea to throw out a couple =
of alternative concepts.=20
