Yeah, it is a RadioWorks Windom so it has both an RF choke and balun
and part of the feeder radiates. The balun is way up high in the tree
though...

This antenna has been feeding my Kenwood 520S for a year through a
manual Kenwood tuner of the same vintage (AT-200) with no problems
(the kenwood has a better ground though...).

BUT I got this 10 ft RG/8 patch and BNC to PL-259 (well, BNC to
SO-239) at Radio Shack yesterday so I could run the line to the bench
-- and since they are new and from Radio Shack, they are, of course,
suspect -- but I just beeped both adapter and cable out and all seems
well.

I could do something simpler antenna-wise -- I also think I know
where to easily lay hands on an ancient Heathkit RF-1 signal
generator -- so maybe I can get the antenna out of the picture
entirely...

Pse stand by. Thanks. Good lead.
