Much of the RFI of a CRT equipped computer radiates directly from the screen
of the monitor.  There were some commercial fine mesh screens that could be
grounded and placed over the faceplate; but moving the Monitor is the most
common practical solution.  Modern solid state flat screens do not seem to
have this problem nor the problem of the CRT picking up stray magnetic
fields from telephones, transformers for desk lamps and motor fields in the
same room as the CRT.
